Knowledge transfer squared - Russian studies

The project is conducted in cooperation with dekoder.org. In 2020-21 the University of Basel, Chair of East European History, Prof. Dr. Frithjof Benjamin Schenk also participated. In 2019/20 the project has received financial support from the Volkswagen Foundation. Afterwards it has been supported by the Swiss "Stiftung für Medienvielfalt".

With the project "Knowledge transfer squared: Russian Studies", the Research Centre for East European Studies at the University of Bremen, in cooperation with "dekoder.org" and the University of Basel wants to make academic studies of the subject part of the (media) discourse and to increase public awareness of Russia-related issues. To this end, innovative (multi-)media formats are being developed and tested for the purpose of online knowledge transfer, in order to reach specific target groups in a more efficient and convincing way.

The project has started to publish multi-lingual multi-media dossiers, some of which have an English version:

"Putin - 20 years. The President's words"

"Protest in Russia"

"The Crimean Archipelago"

The full project output is availabel only in the German version.
