Current research project:

"The contribution of Communities of Practice for the European Integration of the Balkans (CoP - CET)"
The project explores how Communities of Practice born out of the implementation of Interreg projects and participation in EUSAIR policy fora can further the European integration of the Western Balkans.
and
"The view on the European integration process of political parties across EU member states"
The research deepens understanding of the ideological divides shaping attitudes toward the EU enlargement among political parties across all member states, which was initiated with the policy paper Political parties in the EU and the challenges of enlargement, FEPS POLICY BRIEF February 2025.

Short biography 

Luisa Chiodi has been the director of Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso Transeuropa since 2006. She holds a PhD in Social and Political Science from the European University Institute of Fiesole (Florence) and a degree in Political Science from the University of Milan. From 2003 to 2008 she was lecturer for the chair of 'Eastern European studies' at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bologna. She coordinated several research projects and is author of publications on civil society and transnational social dynamics
