Short CV

Yassine Tounsi received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from Chouaib Doukkali University, Morocco, in 2013 and 2015, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Applied Optics from the same university in 2020. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Physics at Chouaib Doukkali University. His research interests include speckle metrology, optical metrology, biomedical optics, image processing, radar interferometry (InSAR/DInSAR), SAR polarimetry, and Earth Observation.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of SPIE and Optica, and the Founder and Chair of the IEEE GRSS Morocco Chapter. He was awarded a GRSS Grant to participate in IGARSS 2025 in Brisbane, Australia. His research focuses on the development of mathematical based techniques for image analysis and SAR image analysis.
